My counseling approach
I enjoy helping people regain resilience after hardship and develop greater ease, direction, love and purpose in their lives. An anthroposophical understanding of what it is to be human underlies all of my work. I work with individuals of all ages--children, teens, adults, elderly--and also couples and families. I use a variety of modalities including relational psychodynamic therapy, anthroposophic psychotherapy, EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, expressive arts, sandplay, and play therapy, combined as appropriate for each individual client. My work is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive. I specialize in treating attachment, trauma, and dissociation in all age groups. Group offerings include a women's group for survivors of sexual trauma. Biography groups are offered with sufficient interest.
