3-year Associate Program

AAP's Mission: Re-membering Psychology through Relational Anthropo-Sophia

The Associate Program provides an opportunity to continue your learning and support of anthroposophical psychology. The program is designed for those who wish to deepen their commitment to represent Anthroposophy in the world. Associates support the presentation of AAP seminars through practical forms of assistance and are provided opportunities to develop facilitation and presentation abilities. Associates participate in esoteric study and faculty meetings, to strengthen skills to embody anthroposophic psychology in one’s life and community. The Associate Program aims to help individuals develop and refine their leadership skills.

Start Date

Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 10:00 am Eastern Time (in person, one day before the 3-Year Certificate Program begins and pre-seminar online, as scheduled).

  • Location:  Camphill Village Kimberton Hills (CVKH) in Kimberton, PA.  Faculty and Associate meetings will occur at a suitable location nearby or at Rose Hall, CVKH.
  • Online Meetings:  Regular Associate meetings and facilitation of participant studies.

Following receipt of your application, an interview with two Leadership Team members (Faculty, Adjunct Faculty and/or Board) will be scheduled.

Criteria for Enrollment

  • Graduate of AAP 3-year certificate program (or equivalent IFAPA approved program)
  • Approval by AAP Faculty
  • To be accountable for Associate tuition fee
  • Ability to commit to attending all 9 seminars (individual circumstances will be considered). Associates must cover their own transportation and housing
  • Ability to commit to online Associate meetings and regular weekend book study gatherings with participants, Associates and Faculty.

Goal of Program

Developing capacities for leadership in one’s chosen life path and becoming a representative of Anthroposophy through supporting the Michaelic mission and healing impulse of AAP.

Program Objectives/Learning Outcomes

  • Further develop one’s capacity for “re-membering” contemporary psychology through the principles, constructs, and practices of anthroposophy as well as the transpersonal psychology of psychosynthesis;
  • Deepen one’s knowledge of the dimensions and dynamics attributed to an anthroposophic conception of psychology; ie. study of the soul/psyche, including the esoteric knowledge of: 2-foldness, 3-foldness, 4-foldness, 7-foldness, and 12-foldness in a lively, evolving program which is guaranteed to be never the same twice;
  • Heighten one’s capacities to foster healthy relationality between participants, colleagues, and between one’s Higher Self and one’s earthly self;
  • Encourage professional colleagueship with others engaged in anthroposophic psychology;
  • Reinforce personal engagement in activities that support self-knowledge and development of body, soul, and spirit: e.g. the 8-Fold Path and 6 Subsidiary Exercises, in support of a free-choice to develop a meditative practice;
  • Prepare to represent anthroposophic psychology in the wider world.

Associate Curriculum Themes

  • Self-development; exercises from the anthroposophical meditative path
  • Esoteric studies: Esoteric Lessons for the First Class of the School of Spiritual at the Goetheanum by Rudolf Steiner (Volumes 1-4)
  • 4-fold Focus: Content, Expression, Relation, and Call
  • Text studies, potentially including but not limited to:
    • Knowledge of Higher Worlds and Its Attainment by Rudolf Steiner
    • The Foundation Stone by Zeylmans von Emmichoven
    • The Art of Lecturing by Rudolf Steiner
  • Communication skills
  • Team building
  • Basic presentation and facilitation skills:
    • Designing learning outcomes/objectives
    • Learning presentation skills utilizing images and imaginations
    • Developing experiential learning activities
    • Small and large group facilitation and group dynamics
    • Coaching for voice and presentation skills
    • Leading study groups with participants
    • Supporting participants in their capstone process 

Expectations/Duties of Associate

  • To be reliable, self-motivated, alert to their own developmental and learning needs
  • To identify and employ healthy self-care practices
  • Provide appropriate support of seminar participants and faculty during the program:
    • Facilitate small break-out groups
    • Develop and present on topics pertinent to seminar themes, as requested
    • Hold the space, i.e. creating a sheath for healthy learning and engagement: assist in creating a rhythm and harmony in the room, aid time management, awareness of and willingness to help participants who need assistance
    • Set up Rose Hall: blackboard/chalk/erasers; clock; monitor temperature, etc.
    • Provide assistance to presenters, as needed
    • Record attendance each seminar
    • Handle check-in on Day One at beginning of each seminar: name tags, photocopies of schedule
    • Manage snacks
    • Facilitate CEU process when required, one seminar/year
    • Engage in the learning processes and activities throughout seminars
    • Assist one’s colleagues as needed
  • Set-up and facilitate online text studies for seminar participants aiding their comprehension of themes addressed in curriculum
  • Support participants in making up missed seminars
  • Facilitate participants in receiving help to understand content
  • Attend Faculty/Associate meeting prior to each seminar (typically one full day, Tuesday, tentatively from 10:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m.)
  • Attend evening Faculty/Associate meetings during seminar (one hour), if scheduled
  • Attend evening presentations, whenever possible
  • Attend feedback session online following end of each seminar, as invited
  • Plan and participate in ongoing inner development activities and text studies with your Associate colleagues
  • Attend online studies facilitated by Faculty or Leadership Team
  • Committee activity: to further support the growth and development of AAP as an organization, participate on a board committee, if possible, such as:
    • Marketing, Finance, Membership, Communications, or Fundraising

Professional Ethical Considerations

  • Mindfulness and practice of professional ethical codes (see AAP website).
  • Consideration of and respect for others
  • Sensitivity and understanding towards others and one’s self
  • Self-control, self-discipline, and integrity
  • Placing participants’ interests ahead of one’s self (i.e. acting on what is best for the Being of Anthroposophic Psychology, for the program, and for program participants)

Expectations/Duties of Leadership Team & Faculty

Providing group and one-on-one mentoring as below:

  • Support Associates expression of AAP’s mission statement: Re-membering Psychology through Relational AnthropoSophia
  • Offer supplemental text studies online
  • Facilitate Associate meetings prior to, during, and after seminars
  • Guide and review Associate presentations
  • Aid Associates’ comprehension of anthroposophic psychology constructs and principles
  • Encourage professional collaboration
  • Assist in the development of presentation and teaching skills

Faculty is not responsible for:

  • Providing individual psychotherapy
  • Clinical supervision of Associates

Tuition Cost

Associate Program

  • Option 1 - Pre-Payment for Full 3-Year Program (1 payment) = $2,965 USD received on or before August 1, 2025
  • Option 2 - Yearly Payment Plan (3 payments) = $3,165 USD
  • Option 3 - Individual Payment Plan = $3,465 USD (Monthly or Quarterly Payment Plans Available)

Tuition does not include travel,
housing or meals 

Registrants selecting Payment Plans for Options 2 or 3, will be asked to enter into a Credit Card Payment Authorization agreement to automatically debit their credit card on file for the selected plan and respective due dates.
