INTRODUCTION TO THEME:
A popular view of karma is tit-for-tat: “I did something to you in a past life, and now you’re doing the same to me; we’re done now.” However, karma is so much more complex, interesting, and important. The soul work of karma has to do with the unfolding of our individuality through the elements, through the ethers, and very much through relationships—finding those individualities, even if garbed differently, and in a new geography, with whom we are working on something over lifetimes. Anthroposophy and anthroposophic psychology have a unique contribution to the soul work of karma.
Rudolf Steiner named his main task as teaching about karma; his teachings deserve interpretation and enlivening.
The Central Regional Council has been exploring these issues for many months. For this conference CRC is partnering with the Association for Anthroposophic Psychology (North America) to present ideas and experiences concerning karma—and how it impacts upon personal psychology.
Presenters from AAP: James A. Dyson, M.D., Roberta Nelson, Ph.D., and David Tresemer, Ph.D. with Susan Overhauser, Ph.D.
